Gary: Welcome back to the show. Let me begin by saying that finals are coming up, and once my students have turned in their papers I will have more time to podcast so to anyone wondering when I will finish the First Crusade; it’s coming, along with a whole lot more good stuff. Today’s special episode is by Gavin Whitehead. Normally I would introduce my guest and their work, but Gavin was kind enough to do it for me. If you want to check out his work be sure to follow the links on our website. Otherwise, here is Gavin with a fascinating episode on Madame Tussaud, the Reign of Terror and a few things that might even be scarier than the darkest point of the Revolution.
Gavin Whitehead holds a doctorate in theater history from Yale University, where he wrote a dissertation on horror theater in London from 1794-1931.
